Here Am I is a ministry that was started by Icy Mae Fredrick and Elise Cadet in 1988. Icy Mae spent over 30 years of her life working with the people of Haiti, mainly in the area east of Gonaives known as Petite Riviere de Bayonaise. The organization that she left behind supports the Holy Bible Church and School. As of September 2016, the Christian school has 32 full and part-time teachers and an elementary and high school principal. The school currently has programs that extend from kindergarten to the 12 grade, with a total enrollment of 874 and an annual budget of $70,000 for the elementary and high school. Below is a picture of the teachers and staff for the school with Pastor Elise on the right.
The donations that go to the ministry of Here Am I go directly to the school operation and salaries of the teachers and the principal. Any additional funds are used to feed the children a meal while they are at school.
In May of 2017, the Holy Bible Church School celebrated its 29th Anniversary!
